Since 2007, I hold a PhD in computer Science from
University of Montréal, Canada. My thesis was about investigating
motivational and cultural aspects in e-Learning systems and is listed
on the 2007 dean's list of the faculty of graduate studies. After
spending some months in Japan as a guest researcher at Osaka
University, working on ontology engineering with Professor Riichiro
Mizoguchi, I worked as a postdoctoral fellow for 2 years at McGill
University, Montréal, Canada. Within the ATLAS laboratories, I was
interested in modelling cognitive agents, especially affective
features. My project primarily aimed at improving affective awareness
for educational purpose, and especially for medical education. From
November 2010 to June 15, 2011. I acted as a senior lecturer at Polytechnic
of Namibia in Africa. My primary objective was to strengthen my understanding
of cultural dynamics in this multicultural settings (Namibia is populated with
12 ethnic groups and minorities of german and south african origins).
I also took the opportunity of my stay in Namibia to begin a collaboration
with the namibian branch of the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) in order to develop
technology for wildlife conservation.
