George Foster

I am a RALI alumnus, now (since 2004) at NRC, where my group is part of the Language Technology Research Centre. My home page is still kindly hosted by RALI, though!

I'm a computer scientist. My research involves the application of statistical machine learning techniques to natural language problems, especially those involving more than one language.

I'm Vice-President of AMTA, and I'm on the editorial boards of Computational Linguistics and Machine Translation. I'm also a member of ACL. This year I was MT area co-chair for NAACL2012, and research track chair for AMTA2012.
