Short biography of François Lustman
François Lustman is professor at the Département
d'informatique et de recherche opérationnelle, University of
Montral. He is a member of GÉLO,
the departmental research group in software engineering. Before joining
the university, he worked in several organizations, as an analyst, a project
leader, as computing department head, and as a consultant. His areas of
expertise have evolved from logical circuit design, compilation, to medical
databases and information systems. He joined the university in 1981, and
chaired the Department of Computer Science and Operations Research from
1985 to 1989. His present research interests are in software engineering,
focusing on the use of formal methods in requirements engineering. François
Lustman has published a book on software project mangement, and papers
on medical databases and on the formal development of information systems.
He holds a degree in electrical engineering from the Institut Polytechnique
de Grenoble, and a Docteur-Ingénieur degree in Applied Mathematics
from the University of Grenoble (France).
