I am a member of the GEODES software engineering lab in the Department of Computer Science and Operational Research. I joined the University of Montreal in January 2010.

Research

My research focuses on combinations of static and dynamic program analysis techniques for industrial-strength object-oriented systems, as well as the development of practical tools that use these techniques. My research interests also include code optimisations, program understanding, application security and visualisation. I am currently looking for motivated graduate students to work on projects involving program analysis.

Current students:

  • Maxime Chevalier-Boisvert (co-supervised with Marc Feeley)
  • Erick Lavoie
  • Houssem Aloulou (co-supervised with Houari Sahraoui)
  • Dalil Boudraa
  • Khaled Bali (co-supervised with Houari Sahraoui)

Former students:

  • Fleur Duseau (co-supervised with Houari Sahraoui)
  • Hajar Ikhlef
  • Aymen Zoghlami (co-supervised with Houari Sahraoui)

Teaching

  • IFT2255 (Software Engineering)
  • IFT3912 (Software Development and Maintenance)
  • IFT6315 (Program Analysis and Understanding)

Resources

Download the slides (pdf) for a talk I gave about giving good research talks (in french).

In my spare time, I develop little projects such as Alfred extensions.
